School Policies

Admissions

Applications are made through the website application form and are personally reviewed, with a reply by email. A seat is confirmed only when the $100 booking deposit is received. Applicants must be 18 years or older, in reasonable physical health, able to follow classes in English, and willing to follow the ashram discipline for the full course. The school may decline an application where the course is not suitable for the applicant's health or circumstances.

Fees & Refunds

See the full Refund & Cancellation Policy. In brief: $100 non-refundable booking deposit, balance due 2 weeks before the batch; cancellation before the batch start loses only the deposit; withdrawal within the first 7 days of the batch is refunded 50% within 14 days; after that no refund is eligible.

Attendance & Certification

Certification strictly requires attendance of at least 90% of all sessions, completion of practical teaching assignments, and conduct consistent with the ashram rules. Absence due to illness is accommodated with make-up study where possible. Certificates are issued at the completion ceremony; a replacement copy can be requested by email.

Ashram Code of Conduct

Students live as part of a traditional ashram community. The daily schedule and silence periods are respected; alcohol, tobacco, non-prescription drugs and non-vegetarian food are not permitted on the premises; dress is modest and practice-appropriate; mobile phones are kept on silent during classes and sādhana; visitors require prior permission; romantic conduct on ashram premises is discouraged out of respect for the practice environment. Repeated disregard of the code after a personal conversation may lead to dismissal without refund.

Health, Safety & Medical Disclosure

Please disclose injuries, surgeries, chronic conditions, pregnancy, and mental health conditions that may be affected by intensive practice — at application and as they arise. Practices are adapted where possible, but the school is not a medical facility; students participate at their own responsibility and must hold valid travel and medical insurance for the full stay. In an emergency we arrange transport to Nirmal Hospital (approximately 5 km) or the nearest suitable facility, at the student's cost.

Respect & Safe Environment

Harassment, discrimination or abusive behaviour of any kind — by students or staff — is not tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal. Physical adjustments during āsana are offered respectfully and only with consent; any student may decline hands-on adjustment at any time. Concerns may be raised directly and confidentially with the Course Director.

Visa & Travel

International students are responsible for a valid Indian visa (typically a tourist e-visa) and their own travel. We provide a letter of enrolment on request but cannot guarantee visa outcomes. Arrival guidance is sent after your seat is confirmed.

Liability

Yoga practice involves physical activity undertaken at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, the school is not liable for personal injury, loss or damage to belongings, or costs arising from events beyond its control. Students sign a liability acknowledgement on arrival.
