A Humble Offering

Paramahamsa Swami Sivananda Saraswati, Swami Satyananda Saraswati and Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati

This school is my offering at the feet of my Gurus.

To Paramahamsa Swami Sivananda Saraswati, who reminded the world that yoga is a way of life.

To Paramahamsa Swami Satyananda Saraswati, who carried that light across the world and preserved the depth of the yogic tradition for future generations.

To Paramahamsa Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, whose guidance continues to shape my understanding that yoga is lived through discipline, awareness, simplicity, and service.

I had the privilege of living and studying at the Bihar School of Yoga for five years. Those years gave me far more than knowledge — they gave me a direction for life. Since then, my daily sādhana has remained my greatest teacher.

For more than twenty years, I have travelled across many countries, sharing yoga with people from different cultures and walks of life. Every class, every conversation, and every student has deepened my own understanding of this path.

Today, I feel called to return to a quieter way of serving.

This school is born from that intention — a dedicated place for practice, study, and sincere learning, where the wisdom of yoga can be shared with honesty, respect, and gratitude.

May whatever is good in this work belong to my Gurus.

"Where Practice Becomes a Way of Life"

At Rishikesh Yoga School, our decades of experience have taught us that learning yoga is only the beginning. Its true purpose unfolds when yoga becomes a way of life.

Rooted in the sacred land of Rishikesh, we preserve and share the timeless wisdom of an unbroken yogic lineage through authentic ashram living, dedicated sadhana, and the guidance of experienced teachers.

In today’s world, the mind is constantly drawn outward, chasing endless sensory stimulation that gradually becomes habit. Without awareness, these patterns shape our thoughts, choices, and lives. The yogic path gently reverses this movement — turning awareness inward, cultivating self-mastery, and revealing the peace that already exists within.

Through Yoga Teacher Training, Yogic Sadhana, and immersive retreats, we provide a disciplined yet compassionate environment where ancient wisdom becomes a living experience rather than intellectual knowledge.

Our commitment is not only to teach yoga, but to preserve its tradition and guide every sincere seeker toward clarity, inner freedom, and a life lived with awareness.

Come to learn. Stay to transform. Live the wisdom.

परम्परा

Lineage

The living transmission of yogic wisdom from teacher to student through an unbroken lineage. More than knowledge, it is a way of living — practised, experienced, and preserved across generations.

ज्ञान

Knowledge

True knowledge begins with study and matures through direct experience. By exploring yogic philosophy, scriptures, anatomy, and practice, students discover not only how to practise yoga, but why it transforms life.

सेवा

Selfless Action

Selfless service is the natural expression of yoga. Through daily karma yoga and ashram life, students cultivate humility, gratitude, discipline, and the understanding that serving others is a path to inner growth.

"Our mission is to preserve and share the authentic science of yoga as it has been taught by the rishis of the Himalayas — so that every student returns home not merely with a certificate, but transformed."
