Sound Healing, Yoga Nidrā & More: The 20-Hour Add-on Courses
By Renu Singh, Co-Founder & Course Director · Updated August 2026 · 6 min read
Namaste. A quiet trend has been growing at our ashram: students finishing their 200 hour training and saying, “I wish I could stay one more week — just for the sound healing. Just for the Nidrā.” This year we finally built the answer: fixed 20-hour add-on certificate courses, running every single month from the 25th to the 30th, open to everyone — TTC students and walk-in visitors alike. Let me explain what they are and why this format works so well.
Why 20 hours — the power of one focused thread
A 200 hour training gives you the whole loom of yoga. But some threads deserve their own five days: the physics and poetry of a singing bowl; the precise script of Yoga Nidrā; the patience of Yin. Twenty hours — four focused hours a day for five days — is long enough to genuinely learn a discipline’s foundation and short enough to fit any journey to India. You arrive curious; you leave with a certificate and a practice.
“A 200 hour training gives you the whole loom. Some threads deserve their own five days.”
The Sound family: healing through vibration
Our Sound Healing module introduces bowls, gongs and the science of resonance — why certain frequencies quiet the nervous system, and how to hold a sound bath for others. Sound Therapy goes further, joining vibration with prāṇic energy work. If you have read about our Nāda Yoga lineage, these are its accessible five-day doorways.
The Rest family: Yoga Nidrā and deep meditation
Yoga Nidrā — yogic sleep — may be the most needed practice of our exhausted age: conscious deep rest that restores what scrolling steals. Our lineage — the Bihar School tradition — is where the modern practice was systematised, and we teach it at the source. The Advanced Nidrā and Advanced Meditation modules take graduates deeper: saṅkalpa work, rotation scripts, and leading others safely.
The Teaching family: widen who you can serve
For teachers, each specialty is employability: Pregnancy Yoga for mothers-to-be, Yin Yoga for the fascia-and-stillness classes studios increasingly want, Kids Yoga for schools and families. (Our aerial Flying Yoga module is coming soon — the waitlist is open.) A 200 hour certificate opens the studio door; a specialty gives you a room of your own inside it.
The Vedic family: yoga’s sister sciences
Yoga never lived alone. Jyotiṣa — Vedic astrology — and Āyurveda are its sister sciences, reading the same human being through stars and constitution. The Basic and Advanced Astrology modules teach real chart work, and Ayurveda & Yogic Diet turns our sattvic kitchen into your classroom.
How it works — deliberately simple
Every module: 20 hours · the 25th to 30th of every month · $499 · certificate on completion. Take one before your TTC as an arrival gift to yourself, alongside it as an evening deepening, after it as a farewell — or come only for the module: no TTC enrolment is required. Travellers passing through Rishikesh are as welcome as our trainees.
Choosing your first module
If you are drawn to feeling — begin with Sound Healing. If you are tired in the deep way modern life makes people tired — Yoga Nidrā. If you teach and want to grow your offering — Yin or Pregnancy. If your curiosity is cosmic — Basic Astrology. There is no wrong door; they all open into the same house.
See all twelve modules, dates and details on the Add-on TTC page, or simply message us on WhatsApp with the month you are coming — we will plan your five days together.
